We are seeking an experienced Insurance Enterprise Architect with deep expertise in the Managing General Agent (MGA) market, insurance core platforms, and AI-driven digital transformation. This role will be responsible for defining and executing the enterprise architecture strategy, ensuring scalable, secure, and compliant technology solutions across the insurance ecosystem. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of strategic architecture, insurance domain expertise, and emerging technology knowledge to drive innovation and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Architecture Strategy

- Define, develop, and maintain the enterprise architecture roadmap aligned with business objectives, technology strategy, and regulatory requirements.
- Establish architecture standards, principles, governance frameworks, and best practices across the organization.
- Ensure alignment between business capabilities, application architecture, data architecture, integration, and infrastructure.

Insurance Core Platforms

- Lead the architecture, design, integration, and optimization of insurance core platforms, including policy administration, claims management, billing, and underwriting systems.
- Evaluate and recommend technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency and support business transformation initiatives.
- Drive modernization of legacy systems using cloud-native and API-first architectures.

MGA Domain Expertise

- Provide architectural leadership for MGA distribution models, underwriting workflows, delegated authority processes, and compliance frameworks.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to design scalable solutions that address the unique operational needs of the MGA market.
- Ensure solutions support evolving regulatory and market requirements.

AI & Digital Transformation

- Drive the adoption of AI and machine learning technologies across the insurance value chain, including underwriting automation, claims processing, fraud detection, predictive analytics, and customer engagement.
- Identify emerging technologies and evaluate their potential impact on the organization's digital transformation strategy.
- Promote innovation through intelligent automation and data-driven decision-making.

Stakeholder Collaboration

- Partner with business executives, product owners, technology teams, and external vendors to translate business requirements into enterprise architecture solutions.
- Provide architectural guidance throughout project lifecycles and ensure adherence to enterprise standards.
- Influence strategic technology decisions across multiple business units.

Governance, Security & Compliance

- Establish and enforce enterprise architecture governance, ensuring compliance with industry standards, security policies, and data privacy regulations.
- Conduct architecture reviews and risk assessments to ensure solution quality, scalability, resilience, and security.
- Maintain documentation of enterprise architecture artifacts and technology standards.




Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

- Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect within the Property & Casualty (P&C) or broader insurance industry.
- Strong expertise in the Managing General Agent (MGA) market, including distribution models, underwriting processes, and delegated authority operations.
- Hands-on experience with leading insurance core platforms such as Instanda, InsureMO, Guidewire, Duck Creek, or similar insurance solutions.
- Extensive knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and modern architectural principles.
- Experience designing cloud-native, API-driven, and microservices-based architectures.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML applications in insurance, including predictive analytics, NLP, intelligent automation, and fraud detection.
- Experience integrating enterprise applications using middleware, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
- Knowledge of insurance data models, regulatory compliance, security, and privacy standards.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional teams, technology partners, and vendors.

Preferred Skills

- TOGAF or other Enterprise Architecture certification.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and container technologies.
- Experience implementing digital transformation initiatives within insurance organizations.
- Knowledge of Generative AI and Large Language Model (LLM) use cases in insurance.
- Understanding of data architecture, analytics platforms, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience working in Agile and SAFe delivery environments.
- MBA or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
