Job Title: Senior Appian Developer
Location: Rahway, NJ (3 days onsite)

Note: Life Sciences domain experience is mandatory
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Appian Developer to lead the design and development of scalable Appian-based solutions in a Life Sciences environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Appian BPM and a proven track record of delivering enterprise-grade applications.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end development of Appian solutions, including design, development, testing, and deployment
Design scalable Appian applications, data models, and integration patterns aligned with enterprise standards
Develop complex components such as:
Process models
SAIL interfaces
Expression rules
Record types and sites
Integration objects (Web APIs, REST/SOAP connectors)
Custom Data Types (CDTs)
Implement integrations with external systems using REST, SOAP, and database connectors
Mentor and guide a team of Appian developers; conduct code reviews and enforce best practices
Define and maintain development standards, version control practices, and security guidelines
Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and operations to ensure requirements are met
Troubleshoot application and platform issues; perform root cause analysis and recommend improvements
Optimize application performance and scalability
Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience in Appian BPM / low-code development
Strong hands-on experience with:
Appian process models, SAIL interfaces, expression rules
Record types, sites, and integrations
Appian Data Types (CDTs) and data store entities
Experience in designing scalable and high-performance Appian applications
Strong problem-solving and performance tuning skills
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Ability to collaborate with onshore and offshore teams
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Life Sciences / Pharma domain (Mandatory)
Strong communication and leadership skills
Prior experience leading development teams
